Yalode é a mulher que me habita,redescoberta pela ancestralidade feminina e materializada na figura de Oxum, orixá da beleza e fertilidade. Suas águas maternas atravessaram o oceano e foram reveladas em Géssica, aos 20 anos, moradora do complexo das favelas de Caju. A região está localizada na zona portuária do Rio de Janeiro, conhecida como Pequena África, o maior porto escravocrata do mundo. Em meio à desumanização e ao empobrecimento sistemático, Yalodê ressurge para reafirmar o lugar da mulher e da favela como um grande gerador de vida.
Yalode is the woman that lives in me, rediscovered by the female ancestry and materialized in the figure of Oxum, orixá of beauty and fertility. Her maternal waters crossed the ocean and were revealed in Géssica, at the age of 20, a resident of the Caju slum complex. The region is located in the harbor zone of Rio de Janeiro, known as Little Africa, the largest slave harbor in the world. Amidst dehumanization and systematic impoverishment, Yalodê resurfaces to reaffirm the place of women and the shantytown as a great generator of life.
